FÉDÉRATI ON INTERNAT IONALE DES CONSEILS
EN PROPRIÉTÉ INDUSTR IELLE
Brussels, July 19th, 1993.
Dear Colleague,
FICPI, in association with THE COLLEGIO ITALIANO DEI CONSULENTI IN PROPRIETA
INDUSTRIALE, is proud to announce its first OPEN FORUM to be held in Rome on
November 10 – 13, 1993.
This FORUM will be OPEN in many respects :
-
First of all, FICPI shall be pleased to welcome our colleagues from Industry as well as
those in private practice : members of FICPI and non-members alike.
-
Secondly, the programme is in the "Multiple-Choice" format :
Three series of seven topics of current interest will be presented concurrently in English.
Two series will be devoted to patents, utility models, software matters and one will be
concerned with trademarks, designs and geographical indications.
You, the delegate, will have the choice to attend during each session, the seminar
which most interests you.
-
Thirdly, we have invited to this FORUM a number of very prestigious and
knowledgeable speakers. They will be either FICPI members or not, the latter from
Industry or from Governmental Bodies (WIPO, EC Commission, etc …).
Since the speakers are requested to use less than half of the time for formal
presentations, ample time will be left for questions, comments and discussion. Prepare
what you want to say or what you want to ask.
-
Finally, ample time is set aside for informal gatherings : coffee and tea breaks,
receptions, lunches, dinners and excursion.
This gives delegates the opportunity to get to know each other and to exchange views
on the rapidly changing scene of Worldwide Intellectual Property.
The provisional programme is enclosed together with a registration form and administrative
details.
May we recommend that you register early since the number of seats is limited due to
hotel capacity in Rome.
The definitive programme will be mailed in August with the list of speakers.
We look forward to the pleasure of meeting you in Rome.
Sincerely yours,
Jacques Gevers,
Fabrizio de Benedetti,
Helmut Sonn,
