About me

Hyung Mi Suh received a Ph.D. in chemistry from The University of Houston, TX, USA after receiving a B.S. in chemistry from Seoul National University (SNU). 

Dr. Suh worked as a researcher in Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) with publishing articles and obtaining patents in the fields of functional catalyst and photocatalysis for renewable energy.

She joined MAPS Intellectual Property Law Firm after five years at KOREANA Patent Firm.

She has nearly 20 years’ experience in Intellectual Property (IP) law providing domestic and foreign clients with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of chemistry, nanotechnology, materials, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, battery, energy, semiconductor, and medical devices patents. Additionally, her practice emphasizes preparation of opinions regarding patent infringement and validity, and client counseling in all aspect of IP law.
