Moderator: Louis Lagler - Rentsch Partner (CH)

Louis Lagler works as patent attorney and as an advisory engineer. His principal activities are the areas of mechanics, injection moulding technologies, electrical engineering, computer software, especially computer aided design.

Louis Lagler studied mechanical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), specializing in aircraft statics and lightweight construction as well as com-bustion engines. Before becoming a patent attorney, Louis Lagler worked at the Institute of Aircraft Statics and Lightweight Construction at the ETH in the field of fiber composites and structural stability. Furthermore, he worked as a consulting engineer in the field of injection molded plastic parts.

Louis Lagler is a founding partner of RENTSCH PARTNER Ltd. and a member of the board of the Association of Swiss Patent and Trademark Attorneys, the national association of FICPI. Furthermore, he is Vice President of the Practice Management Committee of FICPI.

Norman Clark - Walker Clark (US)

Norman Clark is a founder and current Managing Principal of Walker Clark LLC, an international legal management consultancy based in Fort Myers, Florida, with clients in more than 70 countries worldwide.

He specializes in advising law firms about: strategic planning to anticipate major changes in their economic, geopolitical, and competitive environments; law firm governance and management structures; and sustainable profitability and quality management in internal law firm operations.

He is a past Chair of the IBA Law Firm Management Committee, a past Co-Chair of the ABA Cross-Border Practice Management Committee, and a member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.
