Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery Tour & Dinner
Originally founded in 1860 by German immigrant Charles Nelson, Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery was one of the largest whiskey producers in the U.S. before a state-wide Prohibition closed the distillery’s doors in 1909. At the time, they produced more whiskey than Jack Daniels. Upon discovering their family legacy, Charles’ great-great-great grandsons, Andy and Charlie Nelson, reopened the distillery in 2014, using the original family recipe for their Tennessee whiskey.
We will tour the facility and learn the history of the distillery while sampling some of their most popular spirits followed by dinner in their Oak Room.
Live music is provided by Brassfield, a country vocal trio based in Nashville, consisting of brothers Bradley and Chadley Brassfield, and Chadley’s wife, Jessie Rose Brassfield. It’s a family affair for sure that makes for airtight three-part harmonies and a stellar vocal blend.
