FICPI was greatly saddened to hear of the loss of Kosaku Sugimura who died peacefully in his sleep on 20 February 2021, at the age of 99 years.
Kosaku Sugimura served as president of the Japanese national association of FICPI for over 30 years. In 1999, he was awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal by the Emperor of Japan for his contributions as a patent attorney.
Mr Sugimura was a valued member of the FICPI community and will be greatly missed.
