Executive Committee (EXCO) | FICPI

The Executive Committee (EXCO) is FICPI’s primary governing body, comprising delegates appointed by each of FICPI’s National Associations and Sections.

Regardless of size, each National Section or Association holds one vote—ensuring equal representation across the global membership.

The EXCO meets at least once per year under the leadership of the FICPI President. These meetings are also attended by invited observers from FICPI’s standing committees, sister organisations, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The EXCO plays a vital role in shaping the direction of FICPI. It approves the annual budget and membership fees, decides on the admission of new members, and debates draft position papers and resolutions that define FICPI’s policy on key issues facing the IP profession and its clients.

Serving as an EXCO delegate carries a unique responsibility: delegates are expected to actively promote and protect FICPI’s interests and values.
