A number of national IP associations have joined FICPI for the benefit of their members.  As members of FICPI  these national associations benefit from affiliation to the only international IP non-governmental organisation and contribute directly to FICPI’s work.

National associations that belong to FICPI remain autonomous and are responsible for admitting their own members.  Membership of a national association that belongs to FICPI also implies automatic membership of FICPI.

FICPI does not interfere in the internal matters of national associations, particularly their administration and composition.  National associations are free to draw up their own rules for the admission of their members, the qualifications required, rules of professional ethics, etc., but associations that are members of FICPI have declared adhesion to FICPI’s statutes.  Only one national association per country may be a member of FICPI.
