Mamta has been involved in over 150 patent litigation cases across India, in the past 4 years, including SEPs, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and mechanical patents boasting a 100% success record in patent litigation. Mamta has represented leading electronics and telecommunication giants along with global pharmaceutical companies in key contentious patent cases. Apart from patents, Mamta has also successfully handled contentious trademark, design, and copyright litigation for Fortune 500 companies across various sectors as well as all aspects of advisory and compliance and obtained several landmark decisions.
Mamta also has considerable experience in the allied and emerging fields of Information Technology, Telecommunications, Media, and Anti-trust laws, particularly in emerging aspects such as Right to be Forgotten, Data Privacy, Regulatory Compliance, Blockchain, Metaverse and NFT.
Apart from litigation, Mamta is deeply involved in policy and advocacy measures. Mamta is an active participant in international IP associations such as International Trademark Association [INTA], Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group [PTMG], European Community Trademark Association [ECTA] Global IP Alliance [GLIPA], Asian Patent Attorneys Association [APAA], Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle [AIPPI] and ITechLaw.
Mamta is presently part of the Reporter General Team of AIPPI, Co-Head - GLIPA’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, member of APAA Women in IP Committee, AIPPI Biotechnology Committee and INTA Unfair Competition Committee. Mamta is also former Chairperson of the Oppositions & Cancellations Sub-Committee of INTA's Enforcement Committee for 2020-2021 and has been the Lead – India Study Group for the AIPPI Study Questions in 2023, 2020, 2019 and 2016. Mamta has also authored the India chapter in the Wolters Kluwer – AIPPI Law Series Book on Antibody Patenting, now in its Second Edition, and is a regular speaker at various national and international fora.
