About me

Chunguang Hu began his career at the China State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO, now CNIPA) as a patent examiner before moving into private practice. Today, he serves as a partner at China PAT, where he leads both the mechanical patent team and the design team while maintaining key relationships with overseas clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Chunguang’s early experience in patent prosecution and enforcement has evolved into a focus on guiding teams to deliver holistic IP solutions—from strategic counsel to complex dispute work. He has overseen projects ranging from trade-show enforcement to judicial appraisals of trade-secret matters. His approach combines practical insight with a broad view of global IP trends, ensuring that individual inventors and multinational corporations alike receive tailored advice at every stage.
