About me

André Werner was a partner and a senior patent and trademark expert of Troesch Scheidegger Werner AG (TSWpat!) and as a member of the board responsible for the management of TSWpat! until June 2024.

After graduating as mechanical engineer at the ETH Zurich he started his career to become Patent Attorney in a parent IP boutique in 1987 an at the same time took law lectures at the University of Zurich in the context of the regular law studies for 2 years. In 1994 he passed the European Qualification Examination to become a European Patent Attorney. In June 2010 he was elected as a part-time judge at the Federal Patent Court of Switzerland.

André Werner was president of the national association of FICPI in Switzerland (VSP) from 2005 until 2010 and a member of the PMC. Before, he was chairman of the internal group of VSP that reorganized the association in 2004. He is further a member of the bureau of UNION-IP.
