Greg was the Chairman of the Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick Board and has been with the firm since 1985. Greg initially worked in the industry as a corporate patent and trade marks adviser, and later worked with a general legal practice in Melbourne. He was a founding partner of Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick Lawyers in 1996, and is the firm’s senior litigator.

Greg has conducted litigation for the enforcement of patent, trade mark, copyright and registered design rights. This work has included litigation reported in the decisions of Cabot v 3M 11 IPR 487, Coca-Cola v All-Fect Miller 47 IPR 481, Roland v Lorenzo 23 IPR 376, ExxonMobil v Shahin 55 IPR 630 and AMR v Alphapharm & Arrow 2011 FCA 120.

He has been involved in a number of successful ex-parte applications for the seizure of goods infringing intellectual property (IP) rights, and acts for several international companies both for the acquisition and enforcement of IP rights. He has often acted in cases where the Australian dispute has been part of a multi-jurisdictional enforcement program. Greg has represented parties in IP matters before the Australian Patent Office, the Supreme Courts of NSW and Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia.
