Innovation is the key driver of sustainable growth, yet Latin America and the Caribbean face unique challenges in using intellectual property (IP) to its full potential.
To address these challenges, the European Patent Office (EPO),the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) have organised an event to discuss how innovation ´supports sustainable growth, with a focus on the role of IP systems in unlock the region’s potential.
During the event, a new joint study ECLAC-EPO will be launched: "Harnessing intellectual property for development: Opportunities and challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean."
