FICPI Argentina Seminar on Patent Offices, AI and Developments in Argentine IP Law

FICPI Argentina is organising a seminar in Buenos Aires on 28 August 2025, in collaboration with the Argentine section of AIPPI and the Argentine Association of Trademark and Patent Agents (AAAPI).

The featured speaker will be Mr. Carlos Gallo, Head of the Argentine PTO, who will deliver a presentation entitled: “Current challenges of Patent and Trademark Offices: how AI can help.”

Mr. Gallo is currently working to implement AI-based solutions aimed at enhancing productivity at the Argentine PTO.

The programme will also include:

• A presentation by AAAPI on current issues in Argentine intellectual property law

• An overview of FICPI’s recent and upcoming work, including topics to be discussed at the FICPI World Congress in Naples (12–17 October 2025)

  • Featured speaker: Mr Louis-Pierre Gravelle, CPVA, Partner at Dipchand LLP in Canada on "Use of AI in law firms"
     

• Contributions from AIPPI Argentina, who will present their priorities ahead of the AIPPI World Congress in Yokohama (13–16 September 2025)

This seminar provides an opportunity for IP professionals in Argentina to exchange views, learn about emerging trends in law and technology, and engage with the international IP community.
