In the context of a decision taken by the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is organizing a series of sharing sessions on “Women and Intellectual Property (IP)”.
The fourth session, “Closing the Gender Gap in IP – Women and Tourism”, will take place virtually, on November 15, 2022 from 12.30 to 14.30 C.E.T.
This session will feature Women experts, who will share their professional experiences in the tourism sector, highlighting what the role of IP was along the way. They will also discuss how IP can boost women’s participation in and contribution to the sector.
Presentations of the panelists will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session moderated by H.E. Le Thi Tuyet Mai, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva. Closing remarks will be delivered by representatives of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and WIPO.
