The 2026 edition of European Patent Office Opposition Matters takes place online on the afternoons of 29 and 30 September 2026.
The conference will open with presentations on topics of general interest, including data trends in opposition, the Quality Action Plan and the latest developments in opposition proceedings. It will then focus on this year's key topic: inventive step in opposition.
The programme will cover fundamental, intermediate and advanced aspects, ranging from the correct application of the problem-solution approach to recent decisions concerning inventive step.
Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
