Research conducted by the FICPI Practice Management Committee and Walker Clark LLC has identified pricing as one of the most difficult challenges facing law firms.


In almost every practice area and legal speciality — especially in intellectual property — lawyers are challenged more than ever before not only to offer prices that are competitive in today’s fast-moving markets for legal services, but that will also assure the firm a reasonable profit.

Pricing Legal Services for Competitive Advantage and Profitability will introduce practical strategies, tools, and methods to meet this twin challenge.

This online discussion looked at the advantages and risks of the most common legal fee structures today. We explored how to reinforce value over price in the client’s decision about which law firm to engage, as well as tools and methods to build competitive fee structures that will continue to deliver sustainable profitability for the firm.
