Introducing eight stereotypes
The session will explore the multigenerational workplace through a lens that is both global and humorously self-aware, tailored specifically to intellectual property lawyers and attorneys.
Rather than delivering another earnest talk about “how to manage Millennials”, the session will take a more engaging approach: we go “around the world in 8 stereotypes” – blending:
- Familiar generational caricatures (e.g. traditionalists, the tireless Boomer, the cynical Gen X manager, the purpose-driven Millennial, the boundary-conscious Gen Z associate), and
- Cultural stereotypes about work (e.g. Nordic flatness and flexibility, Latin American hierarchy and loyalty, Indian and Chinese respect for seniority in high-tech environments).
Each stereotype will be deconstructed using data, research and real examples from IP practices, and show how multi-generational, multi-cultural teams can become a genuine competitive advantage.
