Mr. Jerry Lin

Mr. Jerry C.Y. Lin is the CEO and one of the managing partners of Tai E. He is a Patent Attorney and a registered Trademark Agent in Taiwan, and has been engaged in intellectual property matters for over 15 years. His experience encompasses a variety of complex patent and intellectual property litigation matters, especially in counselling on validity matters, infringement analyses, and drafting specifications and claims for global and domestic clients. In addition, Jerry passed the 2013 Patent Bar of China and is very familiar with patent prosecution and filing procedures in China.

With his background of electronic engineering, Jerry has represented clients ranging from small and large privately held companies to multinational corporations. In addition to working hard on behalf of the firm’s clients, he also shows his enthusiastic support by jointly hosting annual lectures devised and arranged by Tai E to promote awareness of IPRs protection among the public in Taiwan.

Jerry is a chairman of the Design Patent Practice Committee (4th) of the Taiwan Patent Attorneys Association (TWPAA). Since TWPAA was established in 2009, he acted as a councillor (3rd), a chairman of the Right-Asserting Committee (3rd), a secretary general (2nd) and a committee member of Patent Committee as well as Cross-Strait Affairs Committee (1st). Besides, he is actively involved in the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), acting in the Emerging IP Rights Committee and the Design Patent Practice Committee. He is also a member or firm delegate of main international IP organizations including the Professional Associations: AIPLA, AIPPI, FICPI, INTA, and LESI.
