Moderator: Louis-Pierre Gravelle - Dipchand LLP (CA)

Louis-Pierre Gravelle is recognized as a leading professional in the fields of high technology and artificial intelligence. A lawyer and engineer, Louis-Pierre's practice focuses on patent and technology law, with a focus on obtaining and exploiting intellectual property rights for start-ups, SMEs and large corporations to support them in their business growth and success.

He has been advising Canadian and international clients for over 25 years and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of different fields related to technology, AI and quantum, among many others.

Louis-Pierre has vigorously promoted the importance of protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights for businesses of all sizes, leading him to be involved with the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) of which he is a past president, as well as the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI), where he is presently vice-president of PMC and president of FICPI Canada.  He is an active member of AIPLA, as well as Regional Co-Chair (America) of GLIPA, the Global IP Alliance.

Sonia Montserrat, VIDENS Analytics (CA)

Sonia Montserrat holds a Master's degree in Business Intelligence from HEC Montreal and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has over ten years of combined experience in analytics, business intelligence, project management and marketing.

In her role, she brings a wide range of skills to the table, including leading large-scale data valuation projects for our clients.

At home, Vikrant is actively involved in sensitising awareness on Intellectual Property Rights and is associated with several government and non-government organizations, universities and institutions. Vikrant is also an avid sportsman, and he has completed 15 half-marathons. He is also a Certified Yoga teacher.

Luna Zhang, Kangxin Partners (CN)

Luna Zhang is a senior counsel and an attorney at law from one of the biggest and oldest IP firms in China. She started her IP practice in 2006 as an in-house legal counsel after her law degree in China. After, she joined law firms and continued her career in IP. During this period, she also obtained an LLM degree form EDHEC and an MBA degree from ESSEC Business School in France. 

Through her knowledge and extensive experience, Luna has a good understanding of the needs of IP owners and fellow IP professionals. She is committed to and provides proactive, insightful advice to many international clients including Fortune 500 companies and SMEs on establishing ideal IP strategies as well as enforcing their IP rights in China. Staying on top of the recent trends in the legal and IP industry, Luna has also gained experience in the analysis and application of big data as well as AI technology on IP-related fields.
