World IP Day 2023
The joint chairs of FICPI’s Committee for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA), are particularly excited that the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) this year has chosen as its theme for its annual day of celebration, “Women and IP: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity”.
According to WIPO, World IP Day on 26 April 2023 celebrates the “can do” attitude of women inventors, creators and entrepreneurs around the world and their groundbreaking work.
We believe that our global community of FICPI members knows many women clients who are exactly the kind of smart and creative professionals that World IP Day intends to recognise and applaud.
Therefore, we are planning a special edition of the FICPI Newsletter which will profile and tell the stories of your clients and their innovative work.
Nominate your women inventor clients
What we are asking you to do is to nominate your own women clients who you feel deserve to be highlighted and celebrated in FICPI’s celebration of World IP Day.
Please email your nominee’s name, firm, email address and no more than a 45-word summary of why they are creative and innovative stars of the IP profession.
Please note that the client must have agreed to being nominated and any subsequent interview and publicity.
We’d like to hear from you by Wednesday 15 February 2023 via https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ficpi-wipd-women
Thank you for your support for this initiative to support the women in IP – and demonstrating again the strength of the FICPI global community and the clients we serve.
