Dear FICPI Friends,

Scam Warning: Beware of Fake FICPI Membership Lists

We are aware of individuals contacting FICPI members and offering to sell access to a supposed FICPI membership list.

This is a scam. Please do not pay them.

The offer is particularly misleading because FICPI already provides a public membership directory. Our members can view the current membership directory through the FICPI website, so there is absolutely no reason to pay a third party for a supposedly exclusive or confidential list of FICPI members.

If you receive an unsolicited message offering to sell you a FICPI membership list, contact database or similar information:

  • Do not make any payment.
  • Do not provide your credit card or banking details.
  • Do not click links or open attachments in the message.
  • Do not provide your FICPI login details or other personal information.
  • You may forward the message to FICPI so that we can be made aware of the activity.

To be completely clear: FICPI does not sell its membership list to third parties, and these individuals are not acting on behalf of FICPI.

The offer is not a clever shortcut to exclusive information. It is simply an attempt to make money from information that is already available through our legitimate membership directory.

If someone is asking you to pay for something you can already access for free on the FICPI website, it is a very good indication that you are being scammed.

Please remain vigilant and help us prevent these scammers from profiting from FICPI members.
