![]() Palazzo Belvedere is a monumental villa that was built in the second half of the 17th century on the western slope of the Vomero hill as an “out of town” residence. The name “Belvedere”, that means "beautiful view" in Italian, perfectly fits to this fascinating palace, located in a prominent position offering stunning views on the breathtaking scenery of sea and sky merging each other in the gulf of Naples. The building combines elements of classical and baroque architecture, showcasing intricate detailing in both its facade and interior. Vaults and walls of some rooms on the piano nobile still feature 17th and 18th century frescoes, among which those painted in 1672 by the famous Neapolitan painter Luca Giordano are particularly noteworthy. Weather permitting, the ExCo evening will start with a welcome cocktail served on the sea view terrace; dinner will then be hosted in the luxurious Baroque style inner salons. |
