At the first plenary session at the Madrid Forum in 2024 we explored “Primal Leadership - The Hidden Driver of Performance”.  The keynote speaker, Sharon Deal from the Who Am I Foundation, shared her perspective on leadership issues and how it can influence performance in an IP firm.  She also introduced the Positive Intelligence (PQ) programme.

After the Forum, Sharon said, "It was a privilege to connect with so many brilliant minds at FICPI in Madrid last September, where we explored how Primal Leadership – The hidden driver of performance grounded in emotional mastery and mental fitness—can transform performance, relationships and wellbeing in the workplace."

In Madrid Sharon unpacked the vital role that emotional intelligence plays in leading authentically, fostering resilience, and driving collaboration. She also delved into mental fitness, learning how to strengthen the brain's "thrive" mode to overcome challenges, reduce stress, and sustain peak performance.

Positive Intelligence has partnered with FICPI and a PQ webpage has been created on the Member Resources section on the FICPI website

On this page you will find more information about the PQ programme, a link to do your Saboteur Assessment and links to useful resources.  If you have any questions or if you or your firm are interested in doing the 7 week PQ programme, you are welcome to contact Sharon at [email protected]

Sharon believes that every team and firm is unique, and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. She will be happy to explore what your team or organisation truly needs—and can tailor a programme to deliver impactful results.
