False evidence before courts and authorities

The current development of easy access to advanced technical tools for forging documents and manipulating digital material, scientific paper mills, general information overload and other factors increase the risk of false evidence before courts and authorities in IP matters.

How can you, as counsel, assess the authenticity of the material you wish to present as evidence? How can you check and counter false evidence presented by the other party? What are the red flags? Do IP authorities and IP courts themselves consider this? To what extent does it even matter, in patent prosecution, if prior scientific findings were ”fake news”?

FICPI Sweden has gathered several experts in the field who will share their perspectives on these issues.

Please view the event brochure for further details, including registration.
