Lisa joined Womble Bond Dickinson in 2023 after twelve years at Moyles IP, LLC, which she founded in April 2011. She has nearly 30 years experience in Intellectual Property (IP) law providing clients with practical, actionable advice including training on various aspects of routine and complex IP matters. Lisa’s practice focuses on client counseling in all aspects of IP law.
While a mechanical engineer by training, her practice encompasses a wide array of technologies in the mechanical, chemical, and electrical arts. With her expertise in IP law, she assists clients in protecting their IP rights in a wide range of technologies including medical and dental devices, oil and gas perforation technologies, explosion clad welding, gas and wind turbines, lighting systems, transportation, industrial processes, nonwoven materials—technologies for use in the automotive industry, filtration and personal hygiene, engineering polymers and moulded components, flooring coatings, combustion and heat transfer equipment, consumer products including outdoor lifestyle products, specialty packaging, electronics, and business methods. Lisa has served as trusted advisor and IP counsel for Fortune 50 companies, large law firms, and as acting chief IP counsel for several small to mid-sized companies.

In her spare time, Lisa loves spending time with her family and 2 Barbet dogs, is an avid reader and loves to travel. In addition, she has had a career-long commitment to advancing LGBT rights and commits both time and financial resources to advancing equality for all.
Lisa is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Georgia and North Carolina, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Lisa received her JD from the University of Louisville in 1995, after attending law school at night and working full-time as an engineer for DuPont. Her undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude, received from North Carolina State University in 1989; Lisa also graduated from the Medical College of Georgia (AS in Dental Hygiene, 1983).
