The prestigious course has been running since 1997 and is brought to you by The FICPI Academy - the team behind the successful WIPO-FICPI International Patent Drafting course.
The 2024 course takes place at IPOS Singapore for two weeks, plus correspondence assignments in drafting. Tutoring is delivered by experienced practitioners from jurisdictions including Europe, USA, and Canada. The tutors represent technical fields from electrical engineering, mechanics, biology, and chemistry and all have experience in teaching and tutoring FICPI patent drafting courses.
Applicants
Apply now if you have 1-5 years’ experience in the IP profession and seek to improve your drafting skills and practical knowledge of the most commonly used IP systems.
A good working proficiency of English is essential as the course will be conducted in English.
To ensure the highest quality of tuition, places on the SEAD course are strictly limited to 40.
The timetable
- Segment 1: 18-22 March, IPOS Singapore (in-person)
- Segment 2: Correspondence assignments in drafting
- Segment 3: 16-20 September, IPOS Singapore (in-person)
The Course requires students to attend in-person segments, One and Three, and complete all assignments set in segment Two.
