FICPI is proud to announce the launch of a patent drafting course jointly developed by FICPI and WIPO.

This course capitalises on FICPI's thorough experience since the 1990s in designing and running drafting courses in South-East Asia, Europe, and more recently Latin America, and on WIPO's distance learning tools and experience.

The course will mix online tutorial, face-to-face practical work in Geneva, home work with tutors' feedback and a final examination. It will be conducted in English and is intended for patent practitioners at the beginning of their career as well as people in charge of innovation management and who need to interact more efficiently with counsel, from all regions in the world.

FICPI’s view and involvement

FICPI uniquely combines education and advocacy on topics around patents and trade marks with a dual focus on legal and professional excellence.

The new patent drafting program was developed in collaboration with WIPO to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals who wish to strengthen their patent drafting skills. Applications are open to practicing or prospective patent agents; staff of technology transfer offices at universities, public research centres or WIPO Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs); individuals regularly involved in supporting inventors obtain patents; and innovators, researchers, and members of the public wishing to enhance their patent drafting skills.
